Basically, I have the money for a download game on Amazon.com but it wants me to put in credit card information. It said the card wouldn’t be charged or verified in the FAQS because it said it would be paid for through my gift balance. I read online somewhere that fake credit card numbers that can only be used to meet some standard aren’t illegal since they aren’t valid (tied to a person or expired etc.) So I went to a generator got a random number and used my name as the name on the card, it took it. so obviously the card wasnt verified, I paid with my gift balance, MY Money, and took the fake card off my account, was that a crime since nobody was affected? If it was a real card number it wouldnt have worked because my name was used not the card holder. Also, these codes don’t have an account they just meet some standard for online sites. I bought the thing with my money, no bank account was used, what is the legality of the fake codes? I should have asked before the first purchase but I didn’t think cause it was $1.49. It shows in my gift balance that I used my money not some credit card account, it was like a luhn formula to create a card. Amazon says I paid so obviously nobody else was charged.
