My daughter is 20 and is diagnosed with high-functioning aspergers and bipolar disorder. She was very bright at school and she got a scholarship to study computer science at Liverpool University, but unfortunately she had to leave due to a deterioration in her mental health.
She has worked since recovering, but got made redundant from her latest job as an IT technician, when she’s at home, she uses the computer a lot. She can create programmes and codes, she spends more time doing activities like this to my knowledge, then on her facebook. However, I’m getting a bit suspicious that she may be up to illegal activity. She doesn’t have much money and she lives at home, but she orders a lot of expensive gadgets from countries like America that are brand new, like recently it was an iphone, but before that it was a a macbook which I believe is worth over £800?!
I asked her how she was paying for these gadgets and such, she claims that she’s getting them very cheap, but I have a sinking feeling not to believe her. I know she has the capability to hack people because she nearly got suspended from school in 2005 for accessing a teachers account. I am not computer savvy myself, however, so I do not know what she does on her computer at all and she is a legal adult so I have no right to intrude on her privacy. I am her nearest relative, but i only have powers in regard to her mental health. I do not, however, condone illegal activity of any type in my house.
